{"id":1138,"date":"2026-09-06T23:22:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T23:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paris-remote-sensing-master.fr\/?p=1138"},"modified":"2026-09-07T00:40:19","modified_gmt":"2026-09-07T00:40:19","slug":"workshop-esa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paris-remote-sensing-master.fr\/?p=1138","title":{"rendered":"Workshop ESA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"945\" height=\"710\" src=\"https:\/\/paris-remote-sensing-master.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Sans-titre.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paris-remote-sensing-master.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Sans-titre.png 945w, https:\/\/paris-remote-sensing-master.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Sans-titre-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/paris-remote-sensing-master.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Sans-titre-768x577.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Du 26 f\u00e9vrier au 1\u1d49\u02b3 mars 2024<\/strong>, les \u00e9tudiants du master M\u00e9thodes Physiques en T\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection (Sorbonne Universit\u00e9, IPGP, Universit\u00e9 Paris-Cit\u00e9) de la promotion 2023, ainsi que certains de la promotion 2021 (actuellement en doctorat) ont eu l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de participer \u00e0 la seconde \u00e9dition du\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/sciencehub.esa.int\/2024\/03\/10\/esrin-science-hub-challenge-to-unveil-the-secrets-of-earth-dynamic-systems\/\">Earth System Science Hub Workshop<\/a><\/em>, organis\u00e9 au sein l\u2019Institut europ\u00e9en de recherches spatiales (<em>European Space Research Institute<\/em>, <strong>ESRIN<\/strong>), un des centres de recherche de l\u2019Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne (European Space Agency,\u00a0<strong>ESA<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Frascati, pr\u00e8s de Rome en Italie, l\u2019ESRIN est responsable au sein de l\u2019ESA de la gestion des activit\u00e9s d\u2019observation de la Terre, comme la collecte, stockage et distribution des donn\u00e9es satellitaires mais encore le maintien des archives de donn\u00e9es climatiques et environnementales. Ce centre joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le dans la coordination de plus de 20 stations terrestres et la supervision du programme des petits lanceurs de l\u2019ESA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019objectif de cet atelier de cinq jours \u00e9tait de former les \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation des donn\u00e9es d\u2019observation de la Terre pour mieux comprendre les dynamiques et processus du syst\u00e8me terrestre.\u00a0Les participants ont travaill\u00e9 en groupes de deux ou trois et devaient relever un d\u00e9fi scientifique et technique, d\u00e9fini au d\u00e9but de la semaine, en utilisant divers ensembles de donn\u00e9es fournis par le\u00a0<em>Deep Earth System Data Laboratory<\/em>\u00a0(DeepESDL) de l\u2019ESA. \u00c0 la fin de la semaine, chaque groupe a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ses analyses et conclusions sous forme de\u00a0<em>storytelling<\/em>\u00a0devant les organisateurs de l\u2019atelier. Certains travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s sur la plateforme interactive\u00a0<em>Earth Observation Dashboard<\/em>, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e conjointement par l\u2019ESA, la NASA et l\u2019Agence spatiale japonaise (JAXA). Parmi ces interventions :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Anja<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Str\u00f8mme,\u00a0<\/strong>cheffe de la mission SWARM, une constellation de trois satellites (Alpha, Beta et Charlie) d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la mesure du champ magn\u00e9tique terrestre, offrant une meilleure compr\u00e9hension des processus g\u00e9odynamiques du noyau terrestre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tommaso Parrinello<\/strong>, chef de la mission Aeolus, une plateforme embarquant un lidar-Doppler nomm\u00e9 Aladin, principalement utilis\u00e9 pour mesurer les profils de vents atmosph\u00e9riques et les a\u00e9rosols<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Florian Le Guillou<\/strong>,\u00a0Internal Research Fellows, travaillant sur des m\u00e9thodes d\u2019inversion pour une meilleure repr\u00e9sentation de la circulation oc\u00e9anique \u00e0 fine \u00e9chelle (spatiale et temporelle), en utilisant des donn\u00e9es satellites comme la hauteur de la surface de la mer, la temp\u00e9rature de surface ou la couleur de l\u2019oc\u00e9an.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le s\u00e9jour s\u2019est conclu par une visite de la \u03a6-Experience (<em>Phi-Experience<\/em>), une salle d\u2019exposition d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la sensibilisation et la visibilit\u00e9 des programmes satellitaires et des applications dans le domaine de l\u2019observation de la Terre, mises en avant gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation de technologies interactives.
